Get to know Lissi
Following in the footsteps of an Austrian icon, Ruby Lissi takes her name from the globe-trotting Empress Elisabeth.
Drawing inspiration from our namesake’s numerous voyages, we’ve taken design tips from railway carriages, steamships and hot air balloons, with a few regal details thrown in for good measure.
Leather banquettes mingle with plush, buttoned couches and a departure board makes final calls for flights of fancy.
The bar menu though is carefully tailored to modern tastes, from the healthy breakfast and barista coffee to signature cocktails and tasty snacks.
Lissi’s rooms all reflect our Lean Luxury style, with a big, comfy bed, a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels. Meanwhile, a smart little extra like a Marshall amp transport guests directly to the modern day.
Lissi’s a short stroll from Vienna’s top sights, while Wien Mitte station is three minutes away on the U-Bahn and the airport’s half an hour by bus or train.
24-Hour Bar
Inspired by our namesake’s numerous voyages, the 24-hour bar is an inspiring space where people come together to share tall tales and grand plans, catch an up-and-coming band or just unwind with a skilfully shaken cocktail.
Find an armchair in a cosy nook, grab a table or perch at the bar – our designers have made sure there’s a comfy spot for everyone.
Breakfast
Our healthy, locally sourced breakfast buffet with fresh barista coffee and organic tea will set you up for the day ahead.
Tuck into fresh fruit and superfood cereals, along with wholegrain bread from the local bakery, and a delicious selection of meats and cheeses.
Our favourite is the local speciality, Liptauer. Grab a bagel or a slice of bread and top with lashings of this seriously addictive spicy cream cheese.
Breakfast costs €20 when booking online or €24 on-site.
Galley
Fancy a tea or a coffee? Head to a Galley – they’re on the 2nd and intermediate floor. There, you’ll find hot water and free organic tea.
The 1st and intermediate floors also have a Maxi Bar where you can buy everything from soft drinks and snacks to an umbrella or a toothbrush.
Guest Perks
Music’s a big part of life at Lissi. That’s why you can hire an electric guitar for an impromptu jam, tune into Ruby Radio in your room and even catch live acts in the bar.
Of course every musician needs a muse, and ours is Vienna. The best way to explore is on two wheels, so rent a Ruby bike and get pedalling.

Sustainability
Since the start, we’ve taken lots of steps to be sustainable. From choosing renewable energy to streamlining systems to reduce paper use, some of it’s behind the scenes.
In your room though, you’ll notice smart lighting and refillable Ruby Care amenity bottles, along with renewable natural materials like wood panelling and flooring. Where possible, we also rescue and restore second-hand furniture to add character and cut our carbon footprint.
We’re lucky enough to have some brilliant local suppliers in our home cities. That means we can keep our food and drink miles down on everything from breakfast treats to beer and wine.

Sandwiched between Schwedenplatz and Stephansdom in Vienna’s historic 1st district, Ruby Lissi is a great starting point for exploring the city’s sights.
The opera house, St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg and Vienna’s museums and parks are all within easy walking distance. And whether you’re craving coffee or cocktails, schnitzel or sushi, some of the city’s best cafés, bars and restaurants are right on the doorstep, including several dotted along the canalside.
Wien Mitte station is a 10-minute walk away or three minutes by U-Bahn, while the airport’s less than half an hour away by bus or train.
Parking
Ruby Lissi guests get an exclusive discount at Garage Georg Cochplatz, just a few minutes’ walk from our front door.
A 24-hour ticket costs just €25, and you can come and go as much as you like. Simply park your car, get a regular ticket, then ask our hosts at the bar to exchange it for a Ruby parking ticket.

Like you, we travel a lot. And wherever we go, we expect three things: a great night’s sleep, a powerful shower and top-notch connections – both to the city and the WiFi.
What we’re less keen on is paying for extras we never use. In dynamic cities bursting with Michelin stars and foodie pop-ups, room service sandwiches just don’t cut the mustard.
