Shooting skyward just a stone’s throw from the Altstadt, Ruby Luna’s 1950s building is a towering testament to that most ambitious of eras: the space age.
Inspired by the optimism and energy of the time, the bar features a blend of sleek lines and starbursts, set off by playful pops of colour and bright chrome accents.
Meanwhile, the modern menu has you covered from the healthy breakfast and barista coffee, to signature cocktails and late-night snacks.
For curious explorers, the Lunar Dunes courtyard is a bright, spacious base to set up a laptop or settle in with a drink.
Luna’s rooms are all designed in our Lean Luxury style, with a big, comfy bed, a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels. Elegant curves mirror the building’s stylish facade, while natural textures add a modern touch.
And, whether you’re streaming a Space Odyssey or Oddity, there’s a Marshall amp for your interplanetary playlist.
Benrather Strasse U-Bahn station is right outside, from where the airport’s a half-hour hop with a quick change en route.
24-Hour Bar
Bringing together the best of space-age optimism and 21st-century design, the 24-hour bar is an inspiring space where people come together to share tall tales and grand plans, catch an up-and-coming band or just unwind with a skilfully shaken cocktail.
Find an armchair in a cosy nook, perch at the bar or grab a table in the light, bright Lunar Dunes courtyard – our designers have made sure there’s a comfy spot for everyone.
Breakfast
Our healthy, locally sourced breakfast buffet with fresh barista coffee and organic tea will set you up for the day ahead.
Tuck into fresh fruit and superfood cereals, along with wholegrain bread from the local bakery, and a delicious selection of meats and cheeses.
Our favourite is the local speciality, mett. Not for the faint-hearted, this raw minced pork packs a flavoursome punch.
Observatory Roof Terrace
For stargazers and daydreamers, the Observatory bar is an absolute must.
By day, the sky’s the limit with incredible views out over the city. After dark is when the magic really happens though, with cocktails served under a blanket of stars.

Music’s a big part of life at Luna. That’s why you can hire an electric guitar for an impromptu jam, tune into Ruby Radio in your room and even catch live acts in the bar.

Sustainability
Since the start, we’ve taken lots of steps to be sustainable. From choosing renewable energy to streamlining systems to reduce paper use, some of it’s behind the scenes.
In your room though, you’ll notice smart lighting and refillable Ruby Care amenity bottles, along with renewable natural materials like wood panelling and flooring. Where possible, we also rescue and restore second-hand furniture to add character and cut our carbon footprint.
We’re lucky enough to have some brilliant local suppliers in our home cities. That means we can keep our food and drink miles down on everything from breakfast treats to beer and wine.
LOVELY ROOM (18-26m²)
For lazy weekends or trips for two, our Lovely rooms offer space to make yourself at home.
An extra-long, 160cm-wide bed is the star of the show, along with oversize linen for a luxurious lie-in.
Some Lovely rooms at Luna also have a comfy armchair, but they don’t all have a wardrobe.

As downtown Dusseldorf’s tallest building, Ruby Luna really stands out from the crowd.
A leisurely two-minute stroll will take you to bustling Carlsplatz, where foodies can have their fill of everything from currywurst to fine champagne. From there, the Rhine promenade is less than five minutes away on foot.
For a classic culture fix, head north for the Altstadt with its churches, galleries, and pretty town hall. When you’ve worked up a thirst, take your pick of the pubs and order a refreshing Altbier (or three).
Benrather Strasse U-Bahn station is right on the doorstep, from where the airport is around half an hour, with a quick change at Düsseldorf-Bilk.

Ruby Luna guests can park at the parking garage Q-Park Carsch-Haus, just a four minutes’ walk from our front door.
A 24-hour ticket costs just €27. Simply park your car, get a regular ticket, then ask our hosts at the bar for the discount of 10%.

Lean Luxury
Like you, we travel a lot. And wherever we go, we expect three things: a great night’s sleep, a powerful shower and top-notch connections – both to the city and the WiFi.
What we’re less keen on is paying for extras we never use. In dynamic cities bursting with Michelin stars and foodie pop-ups, room service sandwiches just don’t cut the mustard.

- All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
- Arrival: Check-In from 3 pm. Sometimes we manage to clean and disinfect your room earlier but we cannot guarantee this.
